Short Course 2: Demystifying IR Equipment Specifications
Buying a thermal imager can be a daunting task for an experienced thermographer; it can be a bit overwhelming for the less experienced. Although thermal imager specifications are widely available, they can be confusing especially when they are poorly understood or used in ways that are out of the ordinary. This presentation will focus on key instrument specifications, how they affect imager performance, and which ones are most important to imager performance
This course is a must for anyone who wishes to better understand imager performance specifications and how they affect the accuracy of an infrared inspection.

Intended audience

Instructor
R. James Seffrin is a Level III Certified Infrared Thermographer® and Director of Infraspection Institute located in Burlington, NJ. Mr. Seffrin has over 40 years’ experience in performing infrared inspections for a wide variety of commercial, industrial, and residential applications. He is a co-author of several industry standards and is qualified as an expert witness on the subject of thermography.
