Gas leaks are a common problem in many industrial facilities. Although most gas leaks are invisible to the human eye, Optical Gas Imaging provides a means for visualizing and rapidly locating the source of a leak. Using specially engineered thermal imagers, it is possible to quickly and safely detect leaks or venting of hundreds of different gases. This presentation will address how OGI works, imager selection, inspection techniques, imaging standards, and documentation of results.
